Research Interests
Focusing on the major national demands and key scientific problems in the field, and aiming at the international frontiers and development trends, we are committed to build a research and development team on evolutionary vision+x oriented learning with international influence. Our goal is to break through bottlenecks and to make hardcore innovations. We dream big while being down-to-earth. We conduct scientific research and practical applications that are both groundbreaking and applicable, and are dedicated to provide new productive forces for “intelligence+” scenarios.
Recently, our research interests mainly include anti-UAV, vicinagearth security, and embodied AI (AI for Social Good). For anti-UAV, we are interested in developing accurate and efficient systematic solutions (hardware+software) for detecting, recognizing, and tracking UAVs in complex scenarios, e.g., small object detection/tracking/re-id/recognition, key point localization, etc. For vicinagearth security, we are interested in developing accurate and efficient systematic solutions (hardware+software) for intelligent perception and deep understanding of visual targets in unconstrained scenarios, e.g., situation perception, attribute association, semantic understanding, etc. For embodied AI (AI for Social Good), we are interested in developing data-knowledge hybrid driven solutions (AI agent) for beauty, food, home, tour, and clip, e.g., pose estimation, virtual try-on, fine-grained classification, 3D modeling, multi-media retrieval, recommendation, multi-modal multi-task learning, foundation model, AIGC, etc.

About Me
I am currently the Leader of EVOL Lab & a Young Scientist with Institute of AI (TeleAI), China Telecom, Beijing, P.R. China, and a Researcher with School of Artificial Intelligence, Optics and Electronics (iOPEN), Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU), Xi'an Shanxi, P.R. China. Previously, I was an Assistant Researcher with Academy of Military Sciences (AMS), Beijing, P.R. China. I received my Ph.D. degree from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2019 under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Jiashi Feng, Assoc. Prof. Shuicheng Yan, and Prof. Hengzhu Liu, Master degree from National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Xucan Chen, and Bachelor degree from Beihang University (BUAA) in 2012 under the supervision of Dr. Shaopeng Dong and Prof. Mei Yuan. I was supported by China Scholarship Council (CSC) and School of Computer, NUDT to pursue my Ph.D. degree at Learning and Vision Group, Faculty of Engineering (FOE), Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), NUS, Singapore.
Hobbies: Travel, Cooking, Rollar Skating, Fitness, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Pic
